Guitar chords?

For guitar chords like Bm i have noticed a photo of i believe it was 5 dots on the frets and strings but how do you do that?

Essentially how do you play chords like Bm that have five or a lot more dots?

Your 1st finger (pointer) lays across all the strings and becomes the new nut (or stop of the neck). Your 2nd, third and 4th fingers do the relaxation.
